Er. Teo Yann

Teo Yann graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree from the National University of Singapore in 1985. Upon graduation, he worked with Japanese ACMV contractor, Shinryo Corporation on the Singapore MRT Phase I consisting the first 20 MRT stations. Subsequently, he joined Singapore M&E contractor, Indeco Engineers on the Singapore MRT Phase II consisting the next 20 MRT stations before joining a local Main Contractor, Hock Lian Seng Engineering on the Seletar Sewerage Treatment Plant Expansion. He joined Squire Mech in 1990 as an Executive Engineer, obtained his Professional Engineer in 1994, and was made an Associate Director in 1996 and a Director in 2005. Since he joined Squire Mech, he has worked on numerous projects of various natures. Some of the more signification projects are the Shangri-La’s Sentosa Beach Resort Hotel, redevelopment of the United World College, Orchid Country Club, Spring Grove Condominium, Fuzhou Changle International Airport in Fuzhou, China, Saigon Sheraton Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Semiconductor Testing Facility and UMC Wafer Fab Plant. Some of the above mentioned projects have won Singapore Building Construction Authority’s Construction Excellent and Energy Efficient Award. Since 2003, Teo Yann has been appointed to lead Squire Mech’s presence in China. Squire Mech has been appointed for CapitaLand’s Residential Westwoor Green in Shanghai, CapitalRetail’s Xizhimen Mall Beijing, Qibao Mall in Shanghai, Shapingban Mall in Chongqing, Shawan Mall in Chengdu, Frasers’ Northpoint Mall Beijing, Hualien’s Mall, Langham and Andaz Hotel at Xintiandi, Shanghai, Hyatt in Changchun, Shangri-La in Yiwu, and the St Regis and Sheraton in Zhuhai, just to name some. Today, Squire Mech has offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Chengdu. He was also responsible for starting Squire Mech’s presence in Ho Chi Minh, supporting Allgreen’s Regency Condominium, Viva Condominium and Van Tau Seafront Development. He returned to Singapore in 2011 as an Executive Director and was appointed Managing Director in 2017 with overall responsible for Squire Mech’s Singapore and overseas operation. Teo Yann is presently the Group Managing Director of Squire Mech. Teo Yann is also active in the local Engineering Community. He is current the Co-Chair of Registry for M&E Resident Engineer/Resident Technical Officer, Singapore, Working Committee for the Singapore National Specification and is serving as Vice President of Association of Consulting Engineers, Singapore since 2017.  He was elected as President of Association of Consulting Engineers, Singapore on 8 September 2020.

Er. Stephen Chen

Stephen is the Managing Director of Squire Mech Pte Ltd and a member of the Board of Directors. Stephen leads Squire Mech Singapore. He charts the direction of the company and is responsible for the business performance of the firm. Stephen graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Stephen has vast experience in planning, design, installation, and commissioning of building services. Stephen is a registered Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Board, Singapore since Jun 2000.  The major projects handled by Stephen as Project Director and Qualified Person includes CapitaSpring 51-storey 280m tall Mixed development, Capita Green 40-storey 242m tall office, People’s Association Headquarters, Oxley Tower 32-storey 165m tall office, 1 Science Park Drive, 7 Science Park Drive, Toll Offshore Petroleum Services Supply Base, Halliburton Manufacturing Plant, Glaxo Biological Plant, Abbott Nutritional Plant, MSD Pharmaceutical Plant, Dupont Vespel Plant, Institute of Technical Education – College Central/Headquarters, Overseas Family School, North Point Shopping Complex, Rasa Sentosa Hotel Resort, Futura Condominium, The Azure Condominium and Formula One Pit Building. Stephen is also the Managing Director of Squire Mech Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Squire Mech Pte Ltd. He is a member of the Board of Directors, Squire Mech Sdn Bhd. He leads the management team and oversee Squire Mech’s business performance in Malaysia. Stephen has completed numerous projects in Malaysia with Squire Mech Sdn Bhd. Stephen is a member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia and a registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia.

Er. Koh Choon Tee

Choon Tee is an Executive Director and part of the management team, charting the strategic directions and business performance of the firm. Choon Tee graduated from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) in 1995. Upon graduation, he worked with Plant Engineering Construction before joining Squire Mech in 1996 as an Engineer. He obtained his Professional Engineer registration in 2005. With Squire Mech, he has actively taken part in a wide variety of projects that included residential, institutional, office buildings, commercial complexes, industrial, infrastucture, hotels, resorts and several retrofitting works. Some of the more significant projects are ITE College East, NUS Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, and Pfizer Asia Pharmaceutical. Some of the projects he participated have won award for Design and Construction Excellent and also Energy Efficient Award. Choon Tee was the Lead Mechanical Engineer on the Pfizer Asia Pharmaceutical in Tuas Singapore. In this project, he coordinated site-wide utilities and designed the fire protection system. This involved full hydraulic calculations to meet NFPA and FM requirements. Choon Tee also has extensive experiences in the design and implementation for schools. He applies energy-efficient and cost effective solutions to the design of the building services. Projects such as United World College and ITE College East have won local BCA Green Mark awards. Since 2007, Choon Tee was assigned to Squire Mech China and subsequently lead Squire Mech China as the Managing Director (China). To date, he has completed numerous projects in China, and shared his professional experience and ideas with his team of engineers, demonstrating his outstanding leadership and project management skills. Among them, Shanghai Andaz/Langham Hotel, Changchun Hyatt Hotel, Zhuhai St. Regis and Sheraton Hotel, Hainan Sunny Bay Park Hyatt and Andaz Hotel, Wuxi Suning Plaza, Tianjin Keppel Land Seasons City, Zhongshan Keppel Land Sunset Yacht Club, and Wuxi Columbia Hospital are key projects he had involved. Choon Tee has been committed in promoting green building sustainable design throughout the course of his career. He obtained his Master of Science in Sustainable Building Design from University of Nottingham and Green Mark Manager in 2014 and 2008 respectively. At the same time, he completed the development of M&E Engineering Design Standards and Global Sustainable Building Design Guidelines for Hilton Hotels Management Group. In addition, Choon Tee has also wealth of experience in overseas projects, having worked on many building types in Myanmar, Cambodia, Dubai, Vietnam.

Loh Wei Liang

Wei Liang graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 1989. He worked as an Assistant Engineer with Indeco Engineers Pte Ltd involving in the Pulau Seraya Power Plant project after his graduation until 1990. He went on to obtain his Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (2nd Class Upper Honours) from the Queen’s University of Belfast, Northern Ireland, U.K in 1993. Upon graduation, he joined Squire Mech in 1993 as an Engineer. He is currently a Director with the company. Since he joined Squire Mech, he has actively taken part in a wide variety of projects such as residential, institutional, and industrial, office buildings, hotels, commercial complexes, and several retrofitting works. Some of the more significant projects are Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Plant, Grand Copthorne Water Front Hotel, King’s Centre, Peirce Villas and BMW Main Showroom and Workshop. Wei Liang was the Lead Electrical Engineer on the Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Plant. He coordinated site-wide utilities and advised the Client on the local requirements on electrical installation issues. He has since been involved in other industrial projects such as Schering-Plough, LONZA, BMW Showroom/Workshop etc. He was also the Lead Engineer for the 30-storey Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. Wei Liang also has wealth of experience in overseas projects, having worked on several projects in Malaysia, Vietnam and United Arab Emirates.

Er. Tan Hwee Khoon

Hwee Khoon graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) Degree from the National University of Singapore in 1985.  Hwee Khoon is a registered Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Board, Singapore since 1996 and EMA Licensed Electrical Engineer with 22kV Switching. In Squire Mech, Hwee Khoon has been working on numerous projects of diverse nature. Some of the more significant projects include Woodlands Health Campus (WHC), Mandai Rainforest Safari Park, Mix Development at Bideford Road and Re-modelling Work at Alexandra Hospital Campus. He has extensive experience in the planning, design, installation, testing and commissioning of healthcare facilities and Institutional buildings. Major projects handled by Hwee Khoon includes Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, Jurong Community Hospital, Changi General Hospital Integrated building, Changi General Hospital Medical Centre, Changi General Hospital, SARS Facilities at various hospitals, First Three Government build/private Operators Nursing Homes, Polyclinics, Clinical Research Centre (NUS), Data Storage Institute (NUS), Block 1A (NUS), National Institute of Education (NIE) Jurong Campus, EMC Centre (NTU), School of Biological Sciences (NTU), Techno Plaza (NTU), NTU Phase 3B Development, Students/Graduate Students/Staff Housing at NTU. He was involved in mega project such as the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort (MBS) project took charge of the MICE Faculties and Infrastructure.

Er. Eng Kwee Chew

Kwee Chew was awarded Bachelor of Science (Honours) by the Council of National Academic Awards (UK) through Thames Polytechnic in 1971. He has extensive experience in the planning design, installation and commissioning of low and high tension distribution networks for residential, commercial and industrial developments in Singapore from the mix sixties. Kwee Chew was in the services of the London Electricity Board for about five years during he received training and gained experience on the design, selection, installation and commissioning of both low and high tension distribution and transmission networks. Kwee Chew was responsible for the specification and selection of high and low tension electrical equipment for the Public Utilities Board. He was Head of the Consumers Installation Division responsible for the vetting of single line drawings of large industrial and commercial development and the testing of all electrical installations in Singapore. Kwee Chew was member of M&E Consulting Team for the PUB Building. Kwee Chew has assisted in the drafting of several specifications and Code of Practises for the Singapore Insitute of Standards and Industrial Research. He has served on the Technical Committee on specifications for Low Voltage Switchgear and Control gear Assemblies and, PVC Insulated Cables (Non-Armoured) for Electric Power and Lighting. Kwee Chew is a registered Professional Engineer of the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore since 1974, a Licensed Engineer and Registered Inspector of the Singapore Civil Defence Force since 23 November 1994. He is also a member of Institution of Engineering and Technology, UK and is also a Chartered Engineer with Engineering Council U.K. since 1981. He has served as a Council member of Institution Engineers, Singapore for 1982 to 1984 and has served as Technical Unit Committee and Community Services Committee during this period.

Ernest Ong

Ernest is a Director, and he is part of the management team.  Ernest graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from The University of New South Wales on the Lee Foundation Scholarship. Ernest has extensive experience as an M&E Consulting Engineer having worked for CPG and Meinhardt. Ernest has more than 25 years of experience in the planning, design, supervision and construction of a wide range of developments including Commercial, Hospitality, Institutional and Industrial, with expertise in Data Centers, Pharmaceutical, Wafer Fabrication, High Rise, Telecom Infrastructure, Subsea Cable Landing and Satellite Station. While in IFE, he was involved in Consultancy, Project Management and also Business Development for new opportunities.   Ernest was active in supporting Multi-National in the Design Development & PM of New and Existing Plants. His clients include Intel, Roche, Abbott, Baxter, Seagate, Western Digital, Samsung, Ernest was the Deputy Director in Century Technology, he work closely with his teams to do market analysis, understand the needs of the customers and strategize to come up with new solutions and services to address the needs of the customers. I work closely with both local and international strategic/technology partners like SingTel/NCS, Fujitsu, NEC, Yokogawa, Surbana Jurong and Siemens to come up with a portfolio of solutions and services to meet the customer’s needs.  He was active internationally in the Middle East and also in many parts of Asia. During his tenure with Public Works Department which was privatised to become CPG Consultant, Ernest was involved with the planning, design, project implementation and project management of PRIME and IT Masterplan for all government schools in Singapore. He has a good understanding of Mechanical & Electrical, Telecoms infrastructure and Utilities setup and service. Ernest has a vast experience in engineering and technology design, having been involved in prominent projects located in Singapore, the Middle East, Thailand, Brunei, Myanmar and Malaysia. Some of his key projects are Soitec Microelectronics in Singapore, Juniper Data Centre in Johor, Malaysia, Intel Data Centre, Malaysia, Baxter Bioscience, Singapore, RBS DRC DC, Bahrain and National Supercomputer Centre, Singapore. Ernest is a member of the Institute of Engineers, Singapore.  

Ir. Tan Boon Tiong

Boon Tiong graduated from University of Malaya in 2009 with Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree (Honours). Boon Tiong started his career with Jentrikon Perunding Sdn. Bhd. in 2009 as an Engineer and was actively involved in the design and implementation of various types of projects that included residential, institutional, office buildings, commercial complexes, hypermarkets, and several renovation projects. He has gained experience during his time with Jentrikon Perunding and obtained his Professional Engineer in 2013. He was promoted to Associate in 2013 at Jentrikon. In Year 2015, Boon Tiong joined Jurutera Perunding Kuasa Tenaga Sdn Bhd as Mechanical Associate. His key responsibilities include review, checking design, and signing of the Mechanical Services submission drawings as Submitting Person. One of the key projects undertaken by him is Bukit Jalil KL Sports City Redevelopment, which had completed in time to host the 2017 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games. Boon Tiong joined Squire Mech Sdn Bhd in 2017 as Director. With Squire Mech, he has actively taken part in various types of projects and some of the major projects are AirAsia Engineering Complex, 200 acres OIB Industrial Park Pulau Indah Masterplan Development and St. Regis Hotel KL. Boon Tiong is responsible for the administration and management of Squire Mech’s business operation in Malaysia. Boon Tiong is a registered Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate (PEPC) with Board of Engineers Malaysia. He is also a registered ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer and GBI Facilitator in Malaysia.

Er. Chong Fook Ann

Fook Ann graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2002.  Upon graduation, he joined Squire Mech Pte Ltd in September 2002 and is presently a Director with the company. Fook Ann has actively participated and completed projects in various fields such as Educational Institutions, Industrial, Office, Retail, Residential and Mixed-Use developments. Notable projects which he had completed are: CapitaSpring, AMK Hub, Bideford Hills, CapitaGreen, NTU North Spine Academic Building, All Saints Home at Jurong East, Halliburton Completion Tools Manufacturing Building, Parkview E’clat Condominium, Overseas Family School and Stamford American International School. Fook Ann had also completed tenancy fitting-out works at CapitaSpring, China Square Central, Great Eastern Centre, One George Street and CapitaGreen.  Fook Ann was the Project Director for Parkview E’clat Condominium and other shopping centres such as Bedok Point, Extension Works to Centrepoint Shopping Centre and AEIs for Northpoint Shopping Centre, Causeway Point, AMK Hub and Thomson Plaza. Fook Ann is presently involved in the redevelopment of Liang Court (CanningHill Piers) and he had recently completed Nanyang Academic Building South; the largest mass engineered timber building in Singapore and Thermo-Fisher Vaccine plant at Joo Koon Circle. On the professional front, Fook Ann is a registered Electrical Professional Engineer with Singapore Professional Engineers Board, Green Mark Accredited Professional (GMAP) and Green Mark Advanced Accredited Professional (GMAAP) and Green Mark Advanced Accredited Professional (Facilities Management) [GMAAP (FM)] with the Singapore Green Building Council.  Fook Ann is also a Certified Design for Safety Professional with the Workplace Safety and Health Council and a member of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore. He takes a keen interest in the various design approaches to Lightning Protection System design in fulfilling the aesthetic aspirations of various projects.  He is also conversant in the study of the application of demand loads, voltage drop and short-circuit analyses.

Er. Evan Satya Budisarwono

Evan graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Second Upper Class Honours). Upon graduation, he joined Squire Mech as an Engineer. Evan is presently a Director with Squire Mech Pte Ltd. Evan is a registered Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers Board Singapore.  He is also a registered Green Mark Accredited Professional of Singapore Green Building Council. Evan has been involved in various projects including industrials, educational institutions, commercial and residential projects in Singapore. The diverse types of buildings allow Evan to develop expertise knowledge in chilled water system, expansive site M&E reticulation systems, the different needs of high-rise office tower, high-rise condominium, shopping centres, factory projects, etc. Evan has gained experience in managing a high-end residential project in The Solitaire Condominium and New Futura Condominium. The Solitaire combines luxurious living space with environmentally friendly features which earn the building its Green Mark Platinum award, while New Futura obtained Green Mark Gold Plus award. Evan was the Project Director in the redevelopment of Toll Offshore Petroleum Services supply base with a land area of 52 hectare. The development consists of Offices, Car parks, Ramp-up Factory, Explosive Bunker, Workshops and Warehouses to cater for the needs of the marine industry. These industrial buildings are protected by High Hazard Automatic Fire Sprinkler system. He is also well-versed in pharmaceutical factory projects and has completed Mundipharma & AbbVie factory in Tuas. Evan gained competence on high-rise Grade A office towers as well, which require careful attention to the requirement of high-profile office tenants, designing for sustainability and optimizing balance between plant rooms and usable spaces. His projects include CapitaSpring, CapitaGreen, Oxley Tower, and Sampoerna Strategic II in Jakarta, Indonesia. A number of these projects were awarded Green Mark Platinum award. The diversity of projects that Evan has completed also gives him the experience in educational institution projects such as Institute of Technical Education Headquarters / College Central, Singapore Polytechnic Design School, Academic Block North at NTU, as well as both new and A&A to shopping centres like KAP & KAP Residences, 112 Katong, Ang Mo Kio Hub, Thomson Plaza, Jurong Point, West Mall and City Square Mall.

Ong Kian Wee

Kian Wee graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) in 2007 from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Upon graduation, Kian Wee started his career as a Project Engineer with A-Power Engineering in 2007. After gaining two and half years experience as M&E Sub-contractor, Kian Wee joined Squire Mech Pte Ltd as an engineer in 2010. Kian Wee was made an Associate Director in 2021 and a Director in 2024. Kian Wee is a registered Green Mark Accredited Professional (GMAP). In Squire Mech, Kian Wee has been actively involved in various types of projects such as industrial, residential, commercial, institution, religious and hotel building. Kian Wee has completed projects such as Toll Offshore Petroleum Services at Loyang Crescent, Ripple Bay at Pasir Ris, Robinson Square at 144 Robinson Road, Buddhist College at Kong Meng San, Church of The Transfiguration at Punggol Central, etc. Among the projects handled by Kian Wee, Academic Building South at NTU achieved Green Mark Platinum with Zero Energy award, SIT Food Court & Multi-Purpose Hall at Punggol North and Project Sprint (Plot 3) at Science Park Drive achieved Green Mark Platinum with Super Low Energy (SLE) award. Kian Wee has also involved in many other Green Mark Platinum, Gold Plus and Gold projects. Kian Wee has contributed the ideas in the design of Passive Displacement Ventilation (PDV) system for Academic Building South at NTU, assisted third party’s stakeholder in design of District Cooling System (DCS) for Project Sprint at Science Park Drive and SIT at Punggol North. Kian Wee has led the project team in the implementation of full BIM construction model for Evonik Operation Building at Jurong Island, to support Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) transformation. In addition, Kian Wee has experiences in the design of various construction productivity methodology such as PPVC construction for Club Street Hotel, PBU construction for Amber Garden, MEP modular design for Academic Building South at NTU.

Eric Chan

Eric graduated from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, in 2008 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Degree in Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation, he joined Squire Mech as an engineer and was involved in project planning and design development. He has been actively involved in a wide variety of projects, including industrial, hotels, commercial complexes, residential, institutional, and office buildings. Some of the major industrial projects are Evonik in Jurong Island, Mundipharma at Tuas Biomedical Park and Toll Offshore Petroleum Services. Eric was the lead engineer for lyf One-North Singapore at Nepal Hill Road, co-living Serviced Apartment developed by CapitaLand Ascott Trust in Singapore’s research and innovation business hub. lyf one-north obtained Green Mark Gold Plus award in 2019. Eric was also involved in the New Port Plaza Mixed Development developed by City Development Limited, which consists of commercial retail, office, serviced apartments and luxury residential apartments. New Port Plaza obtained the Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy Building award in 2021. Among the projects handled by Eric, many projects won Singapore BCA Construction Excellence Award, Sustainable Design Green Mark Award and ASEAN Energy Award. ITE College Central & Headquarters and IES Annex Building obtained ASEAN Energy Efficient Award in 2015 & 2018, respectively. New Futura is a freehold luxury condominium awarded the BCA Green Mark Gold Plus for its sustainable design in 2015. Singapore Polytechnic School of Design and Singapore Institute of Technology obtained the BCA Green Mark Platinum award in 2014 and 2022. Eric is a registered Green Mark Accredited Professional of the Singapore Green Building Council and a member of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore. In addition to Singapore projects, Eric is also active in Malaysia projects. He has been involved in the Mechanical and Electrical Services planning and design for St. Regis Hotel & Residences Mixed Development in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Eric is a member of the management team of Squire Mech Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Squire Mech Pte Ltd. Eric is involved in the administration and management of Squire Mech’s office in Malaysia. Eric was promoted to Associate Director in April 2024.

Er. Stephen Chen

Stephen is the Managing Director of Squire Mech Pte Ltd and a member of the Board of Directors. Stephen leads Squire Mech Singapore. He charts the direction of the company and is responsible for the business performance of the firm.

Stephen graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Stephen has vast experience in planning, design, installation, and commissioning of building services. Stephen is a registered Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Board, Singapore since Jun 2000.  The major projects handled by Stephen as Project Director and Qualified Person includes CapitaSpring 51-storey 280m tall Mixed development, Capita Green 40-storey 242m tall office, People’s Association Headquarters, Oxley Tower 32-storey 165m tall office, 1 Science Park Drive, 7 Science Park Drive, Toll Offshore Petroleum Services Supply Base, Halliburton Manufacturing Plant, Glaxo Biological Plant, Abbott Nutritional Plant, MSD Pharmaceutical Plant, Dupont Vespel Plant, Institute of Technical Education – College Central/Headquarters, Overseas Family School, North Point Shopping Complex, Rasa Sentosa Hotel Resort, Futura Condominium, The Azure Condominium and Formula One Pit Building.

Stephen is also the Managing Director of Squire Mech Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Squire Mech Pte Ltd. He is a member of the Board of Directors, Squire Mech Sdn Bhd. He leads the management team and oversee Squire Mech’s business performance in Malaysia.

Stephen has completed numerous projects in Malaysia with Squire Mech Sdn Bhd.

Stephen is a member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia and a registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia.

Er. Koh Choon Tee

Choon Tee is an Executive Director and part of the management team, charting the strategic directions and business performance of the firm. Choon Tee graduated from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) in 1995. Upon graduation, he worked with Plant Engineering Construction before joining Squire Mech in 1996 as an Engineer. He obtained his Professional Engineer registration in 2005.

With Squire Mech, he has actively taken part in a wide variety of projects that included residential, institutional, office buildings, commercial complexes, industrial, infrastucture, hotels, resorts and several retrofitting works. Some of the more significant projects are ITE College East, NUS Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, and Pfizer Asia Pharmaceutical. Some of the projects he participated have won award for Design and Construction Excellent and also Energy Efficient Award. Choon Tee was the Lead Mechanical Engineer on the Pfizer Asia Pharmaceutical in Tuas Singapore. In this project, he coordinated site-wide utilities and designed the fire protection system. This involved full hydraulic calculations to meet NFPA and FM requirements.

Choon Tee also has extensive experiences in the design and implementation for schools. He applies energy-efficient and cost effective solutions to the design of the building services. Projects such as United World College and ITE College East have won local BCA Green Mark awards.

Since 2007, Choon Tee was assigned to Squire Mech China and subsequently lead Squire Mech China as the Managing Director (China). To date, he has completed numerous projects in China, and shared his professional experience and ideas with his team of engineers, demonstrating his outstanding leadership and project management skills. Among them, Shanghai Andaz/Langham Hotel, Changchun Hyatt Hotel, Zhuhai St. Regis and Sheraton Hotel, Hainan Sunny Bay Park Hyatt and Andaz Hotel, Wuxi Suning Plaza, Tianjin Keppel Land Seasons City, Zhongshan Keppel Land Sunset Yacht Club, and Wuxi Columbia Hospital are key projects he had involved.

Choon Tee has been committed in promoting green building sustainable design throughout the course of his career. He obtained his Master of Science in Sustainable Building Design from University of Nottingham and Green Mark Manager in 2014 and 2008 respectively. At the same time, he completed the development of M&E Engineering Design Standards and Global Sustainable Building Design Guidelines for Hilton Hotels Management Group.

In addition, Choon Tee has also wealth of experience in overseas projects, having worked on many building types in Myanmar, Cambodia, Dubai, Vietnam.

Loh Wei Liang

Wei Liang graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 1989. He worked as an Assistant Engineer with Indeco Engineers Pte Ltd involving in the Pulau Seraya Power Plant project after his graduation until 1990. He went on to obtain his Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (2nd Class Upper Honours) from the Queen’s University of Belfast, Northern Ireland, U.K in 1993. Upon graduation, he joined Squire Mech in 1993 as an Engineer. He is currently a Director with the company.

Since he joined Squire Mech, he has actively taken part in a wide variety of projects such as residential, institutional, and industrial, office buildings, hotels, commercial complexes, and several retrofitting works. Some of the more significant projects are Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Plant, Grand Copthorne Water Front Hotel, King’s Centre, Peirce Villas and BMW Main Showroom and Workshop.

Wei Liang was the Lead Electrical Engineer on the Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceutical and Nutritional Plant. He coordinated site-wide utilities and advised the Client on the local requirements on electrical installation issues. He has since been involved in other industrial projects such as Schering-Plough, LONZA, BMW Showroom/Workshop etc. He was also the Lead Engineer for the 30-storey Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel.

Wei Liang also has wealth of experience in overseas projects, having worked on several projects in Malaysia, Vietnam and United Arab Emirates.

Er. Tan Hwee Khoon

Hwee Khoon graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) Degree from the National University of Singapore in 1985.  Hwee Khoon is a registered Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Board, Singapore since 1996 and EMA Licensed Electrical Engineer with 22kV Switching.

In Squire Mech, Hwee Khoon has been working on numerous projects of diverse nature. Some of the more significant projects include Woodlands Health Campus (WHC), Mandai Rainforest Safari Park, Mix Development at Bideford Road and Re-modelling Work at Alexandra Hospital Campus.

He has extensive experience in the planning, design, installation, testing and commissioning of healthcare facilities and Institutional buildings. Major projects handled by Hwee Khoon includes Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, Jurong Community Hospital, Changi General Hospital Integrated building, Changi General Hospital Medical Centre, Changi General Hospital, SARS Facilities at various hospitals, First Three Government build/private Operators Nursing Homes, Polyclinics, Clinical Research Centre (NUS), Data Storage Institute (NUS), Block 1A (NUS), National Institute of Education (NIE) Jurong Campus, EMC Centre (NTU), School of Biological Sciences (NTU), Techno Plaza (NTU), NTU Phase 3B Development, Students/Graduate Students/Staff Housing at NTU. He was involved in mega project such as the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort (MBS) project took charge of the MICE Faculties and Infrastructure.

Er. Eng Kwee Chew

Kwee Chew was awarded Bachelor of Science (Honours) by the Council of National Academic Awards (UK) through Thames Polytechnic in 1971. He has extensive experience in the planning design, installation and commissioning of low and high tension distribution networks for residential, commercial and industrial developments in Singapore from the mix sixties.

Kwee Chew was in the services of the London Electricity Board for about five years during he received training and gained experience on the design, selection, installation and commissioning of both low and high tension distribution and transmission networks. Kwee Chew was responsible for the specification and selection of high and low tension electrical equipment for the Public Utilities Board. He was Head of the Consumers Installation Division responsible for the vetting of single line drawings of large industrial and commercial development and the testing of all electrical installations in Singapore. Kwee Chew was member of M&E Consulting Team for the PUB Building.

Kwee Chew has assisted in the drafting of several specifications and Code of Practises for the Singapore Insitute of Standards and Industrial Research. He has served on the Technical Committee on specifications for Low Voltage Switchgear and Control gear Assemblies and, PVC Insulated Cables (Non-Armoured) for Electric Power and Lighting.

Kwee Chew is a registered Professional Engineer of the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore since 1974, a Licensed Engineer and Registered Inspector of the Singapore Civil Defence Force since 23 November 1994. He is also a member of Institution of Engineering and Technology, UK and is also a Chartered Engineer with Engineering Council U.K. since 1981. He has served as a Council member of Institution Engineers, Singapore for 1982 to 1984 and has served as Technical Unit Committee and Community Services Committee during this period.

Ernest Ong

Ernest is a Director, and he is part of the management team.  Ernest graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from The University of New South Wales on the Lee Foundation Scholarship.

Ernest has extensive experience as an M&E Consulting Engineer having worked for CPG and Meinhardt. Ernest has more than 25 years of experience in the planning, design, supervision and construction of a wide range of developments including Commercial, Hospitality, Institutional and Industrial, with expertise in Data Centers, Pharmaceutical, Wafer Fabrication, High Rise, Telecom Infrastructure, Subsea Cable Landing and Satellite Station.

While in IFE, he was involved in Consultancy, Project Management and also Business Development for new opportunities.   Ernest was active in supporting Multi-National in the Design Development & PM of New and Existing Plants. His clients include Intel, Roche, Abbott, Baxter, Seagate, Western Digital, Samsung,

Ernest was the Deputy Director in Century Technology, he work closely with his teams to do market analysis, understand the needs of the customers and strategize to come up with new solutions and services to address the needs of the customers. I work closely with both local and international strategic/technology partners like SingTel/NCS, Fujitsu, NEC, Yokogawa, Surbana Jurong and Siemens to come up with a portfolio of solutions and services to meet the customer’s needs.  He was active internationally in the Middle East and also in many parts of Asia.

During his tenure with Public Works Department which was privatised to become CPG Consultant, Ernest was involved with the planning, design, project implementation and project management of PRIME and IT Masterplan for all government schools in Singapore. He has a good understanding of Mechanical & Electrical, Telecoms infrastructure and Utilities setup and service.

Ernest has a vast experience in engineering and technology design, having been involved in prominent projects located in Singapore, the Middle East, Thailand, Brunei, Myanmar and Malaysia.

Some of his key projects are Soitec Microelectronics in Singapore, Juniper Data Centre in Johor, Malaysia, Intel Data Centre, Malaysia, Baxter Bioscience, Singapore, RBS DRC DC, Bahrain and National Supercomputer Centre, Singapore.

Ernest is a member of the Institute of Engineers, Singapore.

 

Ir. Tan Boon Tiong

Boon Tiong graduated from University of Malaya in 2009 with Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree (Honours).

Boon Tiong started his career with Jentrikon Perunding Sdn. Bhd. in 2009 as an Engineer and was actively involved in the design and implementation of various types of projects that included residential, institutional, office buildings, commercial complexes, hypermarkets, and several renovation projects. He has gained experience during his time with Jentrikon Perunding and obtained his Professional Engineer in 2013. He was promoted to Associate in 2013 at Jentrikon.

In Year 2015, Boon Tiong joined Jurutera Perunding Kuasa Tenaga Sdn Bhd as Mechanical Associate. His key responsibilities include review, checking design, and signing of the Mechanical Services submission drawings as Submitting Person. One of the key projects undertaken by him is Bukit Jalil KL Sports City Redevelopment, which had completed in time to host the 2017 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

Boon Tiong joined Squire Mech Sdn Bhd in 2017 as Director. With Squire Mech, he has actively taken part in various types of projects and some of the major projects are AirAsia Engineering Complex, 200 acres OIB Industrial Park Pulau Indah Masterplan Development and St. Regis Hotel KL.

Boon Tiong is responsible for the administration and management of Squire Mech’s business operation in Malaysia.

Boon Tiong is a registered Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate (PEPC) with Board of Engineers Malaysia. He is also a registered ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer and GBI Facilitator in Malaysia.

Er. Chong Fook Ann

Fook Ann graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2002.  Upon graduation, he joined Squire Mech Pte Ltd in September 2002 and is presently a Director with the company.

Fook Ann has actively participated and completed projects in various fields such as Educational Institutions, Industrial, Office, Retail, Residential and Mixed-Use developments.

Notable projects which he had completed are: CapitaSpring, AMK Hub, Bideford Hills, CapitaGreen, NTU North Spine Academic Building, All Saints Home at Jurong East, Halliburton Completion Tools Manufacturing Building, Parkview E’clat Condominium, Overseas Family School and Stamford American International School.

Fook Ann had also completed tenancy fitting-out works at CapitaSpring, China Square Central, Great Eastern Centre, One George Street and CapitaGreen.  Fook Ann was the Project Director for Parkview E’clat Condominium and other shopping centres such as Bedok Point, Extension Works to Centrepoint Shopping Centre and AEIs for Northpoint Shopping Centre, Causeway Point, AMK Hub and Thomson Plaza.

Fook Ann is presently involved in the redevelopment of Liang Court (CanningHill Piers) and he had recently completed Nanyang Academic Building South; the largest mass engineered timber building in Singapore and Thermo-Fisher Vaccine plant at Joo Koon Circle.

On the professional front, Fook Ann is a registered Electrical Professional Engineer with Singapore Professional Engineers Board, Green Mark Accredited Professional (GMAP) and Green Mark Advanced Accredited Professional (GMAAP) and Green Mark Advanced Accredited Professional (Facilities Management) [GMAAP (FM)] with the Singapore Green Building Council.  Fook Ann is also a Certified Design for Safety Professional with the Workplace Safety and Health Council and a member of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore.

He takes a keen interest in the various design approaches to Lightning Protection System design in fulfilling the aesthetic aspirations of various projects.  He is also conversant in the study of the application of demand loads, voltage drop and short-circuit analyses.

Er. Evan Satya Budisarwono

Evan graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Second Upper Class Honours). Upon graduation, he joined Squire Mech as an Engineer. Evan is presently a Director with Squire Mech Pte Ltd.

Evan is a registered Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers Board Singapore.  He is also a registered Green Mark Accredited Professional of Singapore Green Building Council.

Evan has been involved in various projects including industrials, educational institutions, commercial and residential projects in Singapore. The diverse types of buildings allow Evan to develop expertise knowledge in chilled water system, expansive site M&E reticulation systems, the different needs of high-rise office tower, high-rise condominium, shopping centres, factory projects, etc.

Evan has gained experience in managing a high-end residential project in The Solitaire Condominium and New Futura Condominium. The Solitaire combines luxurious living space with environmentally friendly features which earn the building its Green Mark Platinum award, while New Futura obtained Green Mark Gold Plus award.

Evan was the Project Director in the redevelopment of Toll Offshore Petroleum Services supply base with a land area of 52 hectare. The development consists of Offices, Car parks, Ramp-up Factory, Explosive Bunker, Workshops and Warehouses to cater for the needs of the marine industry. These industrial buildings are protected by High Hazard Automatic Fire Sprinkler system. He is also well-versed in pharmaceutical factory projects and has completed Mundipharma & AbbVie factory in Tuas.

Evan gained competence on high-rise Grade A office towers as well, which require careful attention to the requirement of high-profile office tenants, designing for sustainability and optimizing balance between plant rooms and usable spaces. His projects include CapitaSpring, CapitaGreen, Oxley Tower, and Sampoerna Strategic II in Jakarta, Indonesia. A number of these projects were awarded Green Mark Platinum award.

The diversity of projects that Evan has completed also gives him the experience in educational institution projects such as Institute of Technical Education Headquarters / College Central, Singapore Polytechnic Design School, Academic Block North at NTU, as well as both new and A&A to shopping centres like KAP & KAP Residences, 112 Katong, Ang Mo Kio Hub, Thomson Plaza, Jurong Point, West Mall and City Square Mall.

Ong Kian Wee

Kian Wee graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) in 2007 from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Upon graduation, Kian Wee started his career as a Project Engineer with A-Power Engineering in 2007.

After gaining two and half years experience as M&E Sub-contractor, Kian Wee joined Squire Mech Pte Ltd as an engineer in 2010. Kian Wee was made an Associate Director in 2021 and a Director in 2024.

Kian Wee is a registered Green Mark Accredited Professional (GMAP).

In Squire Mech, Kian Wee has been actively involved in various types of projects such as industrial, residential, commercial, institution, religious and hotel building. Kian Wee has completed projects such as Toll Offshore Petroleum Services at Loyang Crescent, Ripple Bay at Pasir Ris, Robinson Square at 144 Robinson Road, Buddhist College at Kong Meng San, Church of The Transfiguration at Punggol Central, etc.

Among the projects handled by Kian Wee, Academic Building South at NTU achieved Green Mark Platinum with Zero Energy award, SIT Food Court & Multi-Purpose Hall at Punggol North and Project Sprint (Plot 3) at Science Park Drive achieved Green Mark Platinum with Super Low Energy (SLE) award. Kian Wee has also involved in many other Green Mark Platinum, Gold Plus and Gold projects.

Kian Wee has contributed the ideas in the design of Passive Displacement Ventilation (PDV) system for Academic Building South at NTU, assisted third party’s stakeholder in design of District Cooling System (DCS) for Project Sprint at Science Park Drive and SIT at Punggol North.

Kian Wee has led the project team in the implementation of full BIM construction model for Evonik Operation Building at Jurong Island, to support Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) transformation. In addition, Kian Wee has experiences in the design of various construction productivity methodology such as PPVC construction for Club Street Hotel, PBU construction for Amber Garden, MEP modular design for Academic Building South at NTU.

Eric Chan

Eric graduated from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, in 2008 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Upon graduation, he joined Squire Mech as an engineer and was involved in project planning and design development.

He has been actively involved in a wide variety of projects, including industrial, hotels, commercial complexes, residential, institutional, and office buildings. Some of the major industrial projects are Evonik in Jurong Island, Mundipharma at Tuas Biomedical Park and Toll Offshore Petroleum Services.

Eric was the lead engineer for lyf One-North Singapore at Nepal Hill Road, co-living Serviced Apartment developed by CapitaLand Ascott Trust in Singapore’s research and innovation business hub. lyf one-north obtained Green Mark Gold Plus award in 2019. Eric was also involved in the New Port Plaza Mixed Development developed by City Development Limited, which consists of commercial retail, office, serviced apartments and luxury residential apartments. New Port Plaza obtained the Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy Building award in 2021.

Among the projects handled by Eric, many projects won Singapore BCA Construction Excellence Award, Sustainable Design Green Mark Award and ASEAN Energy Award. ITE College Central & Headquarters and IES Annex Building obtained ASEAN Energy Efficient Award in 2015 & 2018, respectively. New Futura is a freehold luxury condominium awarded the BCA Green Mark Gold Plus for its sustainable design in 2015. Singapore Polytechnic School of Design and Singapore Institute of Technology obtained the BCA Green Mark Platinum award in 2014 and 2022. Eric is a registered Green Mark Accredited Professional of the Singapore Green Building Council and a member of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore.

In addition to Singapore projects, Eric is also active in Malaysia projects. He has been involved in the Mechanical and Electrical Services planning and design for St. Regis Hotel & Residences Mixed Development in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Eric is a member of the management team of Squire Mech Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Squire Mech Pte Ltd. Eric is involved in the administration and management of Squire Mech’s office in Malaysia.

Eric was promoted to Associate Director in April 2024.

Melita Sumitro

Melita graduated from Nanyang Technological University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Second Class Honours, Upper Division).

Upon graduation, she joined Squire Mech Pte Ltd as an Engineer.  Since she joined Squire Mech, she has been involved in various projects including residential, industrial and commercial projects.

Among the projects that Melita is involved in are Halliburton Manufacturing Plant, CapitaGreen at 138 Market Street office building and its tenancy works, Paya Lebar Square at Paya Lebar Road, A&A to Chinatown Point, A&A to Northpoint Shopping Centre, Nanyang Polytechnic Campus Expansion, Forest Woods Condominium at Lorong Lew Lian, CapitaSpring at 88 Market Street, Redevelopment of FX building at 80 Anson Road, UOB Plaza 1 and UOB Plaza 2.

Melita is a registered Green Mark Accredited Professional of Singapore Green Building Council.  She was promoted to Associate in April 2020, Senior Associate in April 2022 and to Associate Director in April 2024.
